Coriaria myrtifolia L., known as redoul, is a shrub reaching 2–3 m in height. The species name 'myrtifolia' refers to its myrtle-like leaves. It belongs to the genus Coriaria in the family Coriariaceae.

Description

Coriaria myrtifolia is a shrub native to regions including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and the Balearic Islands. It was first described in 1753 by Carl Linnaeus. The plant is characterized by its myrtle-like foliage, as indicated by the species epithet 'myrtifolia.'
