Juniperus pinchotii is a species of juniper in the family Cupressaceae, native to south-western North America. It is found in Mexico (Nuevo León and Coahuila) and the United States (southeastern New Mexico, central Texas, and western Oklahoma).

Description

Juniperus pinchotii, known as copper-berry juniper, is a member of the Cupressaceae family. It was first described in 1905 by Sudw. The species is native to the south-western regions of North America, including parts of Mexico and the United States. Its distribution spans the Mexican states of Nuevo León and Coahuila, as well as the U.S. states of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. It is one of several species within the Juniperus genus and is distinguished by its native range and ecological presence in arid and semi-arid environments.
