Description
The name Myosotis scorpioides has been subject to taxonomic discussion due to its historical application to both M. arvensis and M. palustris. Wade, Verberne, and Holub have contributed to the debate, with Holub offering an in-depth analysis. A formal proposal for conservation or rejection may be required to resolve the nomenclatural ambiguity. Despite these complexities, the species remains recognized as a member of the Boraginaceae family and is commonly referred to as the true forget-me-not or water forget-me-not.
