Ligustrum vulgare, known as Common Privet, is a species native to central and southern Europe, North Africa, and southwestern Asia. It ranges from Ireland and southwestern Sweden to Morocco and extends eastward to Poland and northwestern Iran. This plant is part of the Oleaceae family and was first described in 1753.

Description

Ligustrum vulgare is a member of the Oleaceae family and is commonly referred to as Common Privet. It is widely distributed across central and southern Europe, North Africa, and parts of southwestern Asia. Its range includes areas from Ireland and southwestern Sweden to Morocco and extends east to Poland and northwestern Iran. The species was first published in 1753.
