Protea acaulos (L.) Reichard, known as Common Ground Sugarbush, is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the southwestern Cape Region in South Africa and is also referred to as ground protea. In Afrikaans, it is called aardroos.

Description

Protea acaulos is a member of the Proteaceae family and is found in the Cape Provinces. It is commonly called Common Ground Sugarbush and is also known as ground protea. The species was first described in 1779 and is native to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa. In the local Afrikaans language, it is referred to as aardroos.
