Common Feverfew

Tanacetum parthenium is a member of the Asteraceae family and is widely distributed across North America and various Atlantic islands. It was first published in 1844. The taxonomic history of the species includes references to multiple specimens in the Clifford herbarium, but none have been formally designated as the type. The plant is recognized for its ornamental value and has been used historically for medicinal purposes. Its original distribution in the Balkans has expanded to a global range, and it is now cultivated and naturalized in many regions.
