Persicaria bistorta (L.) Samp., known as common bistort, is a flowering plant in the Polygonaceae family, native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is also referred to by several other common names, including snakeroot and Easter-ledges.

Description

Persicaria bistorta is a species of flowering plant in the dock family, Polygonaceae. It is native to Europe and northern and western Asia. The plant is commonly known as common bistort, and also goes by the names snakeroot, snake-root, snakeweed, and Easter-ledges. The species was published in 1913.
