Attalea cohune is a species of palm tree in the Arecaceae family. It is distributed in regions including Mexico (Southeast and Southwest), Belize, Colombia (Antioquia, Boyacá, Caldas, Santander, Cuenca de Río Claro), El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Trinidad-Tobago. The species was first described in 1844 by Mart.
