Juniperus recurva is a species of conifer in the Cupressaceae family, commonly known as coffin juniper or Himalayan juniper. It is native to the Himalayan region, occurring in areas such as northern Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and western Yunnan in China. This juniper is found at elevations between 3,000 and 4,000 metres.

Description

Juniperus recurva, described in 1825 by Buch.-Ham. ex D.Don, is a member of the genus Juniperus. It is distributed across the Himalayas, including regions like Assam, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet, and West Himalaya. The species is adapted to high-altitude environments and is part of the Cupressaceae family, commonly referred to as the cypress family.
