Coccinia adoensis (Hochst. ex A.Rich.) Cogn. is a member of the Cucurbitaceae family, commonly known as the gourd family. It is distributed across several African countries, including Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, the Caprivi Strip, the Central African Republic, Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, the Free State, Ghana, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, the Northern Provinces, Rwanda, and Sudan. The species was first published in 1881.
