Lyonia fruticosa, known as coastal plain staggerbush, is a species in the Ericaceae family. It is native to Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, where it is found in pine woodlands and shrub bogs at elevations under 100 meters.

Description

Lyonia fruticosa (Michx.) G.S.Torr. ex B.L.Rob. is a member of the genus Lyonia in the Ericaceae family. It is native to the southeastern United States, specifically Florida, southern Georgia, and the extreme southern part of South Carolina. This plant thrives in pine woodlands and shrub bogs at low elevations, typically less than 100 meters. The species was first described in 1916.
