Garrya elliptica, known as Coast Silk Tassel, is an evergreen shrub in the Garryaceae family. It is native to the coastal regions of California and southern Oregon, where it grows as an upright, bushy plant reaching 2–5 m in height. The species was first described in 1834 by Lindley, based on work by Douglas.

It is also known by the common names Coast Silk Tassel, Silk Tassel Bush, and Wavyleaf Silktassel. The species was published in 1834 under the authorship of Douglas ex Lindl.
