Phlox bifida, known as cleft phlox, is a perennial herb in the Polemoniaceae family. It is native to the central United States, found in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Description

Phlox bifida is a member of the Polemoniaceae family and is part of the Phlox genus. It is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows in the central United States. The species was first described in 1826 by L.C. Beck. It is commonly referred to as cleft phlox or sand phlox in English.
