Citrus australasica, known as finger lime or caviar lime, is a thorny shrub or small tree native to the subtropical rainforests along the coast of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. It is cultivated for its edible fruit.

Description

Citrus australasica (Rutaceae) is a species of thorny shrub or small tree found in the lowland subtropical rainforests of the coastal border area between Queensland and New South Wales. The plant is characterized by its edible fruit, which is marketed as a commercial crop. Commonly referred to as finger lime or caviar lime, it is a member of the Citrus genus and was first described by F.Muell. in 1858.
