Cinchona lancifolia is a species in the genus Cinchona, belonging to the family Rubiaceae. It was first described in 1793 by Mutis. The species is native to several regions in Colombia, including SFF Iguaque, Encino, Landázuri, Arcabuco, Antioquia, Boyacá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Huila, Meta, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, and Santander, as well as Ecuador and Venezuela.

Description

Cinchona lancifolia is part of the Rubiaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the coffee family. It is distributed across several departments in Colombia and extends into neighboring countries such as Ecuador and Venezuela. The species was formally published in 1793 by the botanist Mutis. Its range includes high-altitude regions such as SFF Iguaque and Encino, as well as other locations like Landázuri and Arcabuco. The species is found in multiple ecological zones across the Andean region.
