Diphasiastrum complanatum, known as Christmas Green, is a species of clubmoss in the Lycopodiaceae family. It is native to colder northern regions, including parts of North America and Europe. This evergreen, perennial pteridophyte grows in dry coniferous forests. Spores are produced from June to September.

Diphasiastrum complanatum, previously classified under the name Lycopodium complanatum, is a clubmoss species found in dry coniferous forests across northern latitudes. It is an evergreen, perennial pteridophyte that reproduces via spores, which are produced between June and September. The plant was historically grouped with several other species under the broader Lycopodium complanatum classification, but is now recognized as a distinct species. It is distributed in regions such as Greenland, Labrador, Newfoundland, and various Canadian provinces, as well as parts of the United States and Europe.
