Chinese Tulip Tree
Liriodendron chinense (Hemsl.) Sarg.

Liriodendron chinense, known as the Chinese Tulip Tree, is a species native to central and southern China and northern Vietnam. It belongs to the Magnoliaceae family and is the only native Liriodendron species in Asia. The tree is found in several provinces across China and is protected in reserves such as Tianmushan, Huangshan, Wuyi Shan, and Badagongshan.
Description
Liriodendron chinense is native to central and southern China and northern Vietnam. It is found in the provinces of Anhui, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Yunnan. The species is protected in several nature reserves, including Tianmushan National Reserve, Huangshan, Wuyi Shan, and Badagongshan Nature Reserve. It is the only native species in the genus Liriodendron in Asia.
