Chinese Mallow

Malva verticillata, known as Chinese Mallow, is a species in the Malvaceae family. Native to East Asia, it is found in regions from Pakistan to China and has been introduced to several European and North American countries. It is an annual or biennial plant that can reach up to 1.7 meters in height.
Description
Chinese Mallow has small, symmetrical flowers with five petals that can be white, pink, or red, measuring 0.8 cm in size. Each flower has thirteen or more stamens and three narrow epicalyx bracts. The plant produces a dry, hairless nutlet as fruit. The leaves are simple and alternate. It thrives in woodland areas with various soil types.
