Cupressus chengiana is a species in the genus Cupressus, family Cupressaceae, commonly known as Cheng Cypress. It was first described by S.Y. Hu in 1964 and is native to South-Central China. The species is known from type and paratype specimens collected in Maoxian and Wenchuan.

Description

Cupressus chengiana was formally published by S.Y. Hu in 1964. The protologue references paratype specimens collected from Maoxian (Wilson 2105) and Wenchuan (Wilson 798 a). The species is part of the Cupressaceae family and is native to South-Central China. The description and original materials are documented in historical botanical records, including those from the Chongqing Natural History Museum.
