Cheiropleuria bicuspis is a species in the family Dipteridaceae, native to several regions in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It was first described in 1851 by C.Presl, based on earlier work by Blume.

Description

Cheiropleuria bicuspis is a member of the Dipteridaceae family, a group of ferns commonly known as whisk ferns or hawks' claws. This species is distributed across Borneo, China South-Central, Hainan, Japan, Java, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaya, the Maluku Islands, the Nansei-shoto Islands, New Guinea, the Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its range indicates a preference for tropical and subtropical environments. The species was formally published in 1851 by Carl Presl, with the original description attributed to Blume. As part of the genus Cheiropleuria, it shares characteristics typical of the family, including simple, dichotomously branching fronds and the absence of true leaves.
