Helianthus × laetiflorus, known as the cheerful sunflower, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is native to much of Canada and the central and eastern United States, ranging from Newfoundland to Texas and Georgia. The species is often cultivated and can be found growing outside its natural range due to escape from cultivation.

Helianthus × laetiflorus is a plant in the Asteraceae family, native to scattered locations across Canada and the United States. It is commonly cultivated and has been reported outside its core range. The species was first described in 1807 by the author Pers.
