Chaerophyllum nodosum is a species in the Apiaceae family, native to regions across Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. It was first described in 1767 by Crantz, based on the work of Linnaeus.

Description

Chaerophyllum nodosum belongs to the genus Chaerophyllum and is part of the carrot or parsley family, Apiaceae. Its distribution spans several countries, including Czechia, Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Corsica, France, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Crimea, Lebanon-Syria, Morocco, the North Caucasus, and Palestine. This species has a wide geographic range, indicating adaptability to diverse environmental conditions. The name was published in 1767 by Johann Georg Christian Lehmann, commonly known as Crantz, who revised the original work by Linnaeus.
