Protea pityphylla, known as Ceres Sugarbush or mountain rose, is a flowering shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is endemic to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa.

Description

Protea pityphylla is a species of flowering shrub belonging to the genus Protea in the Proteaceae family. Native to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa, it is commonly referred to as Ceres Sugarbush or mountain rose. The species was first described in 1910 by E. Phillips. It is part of the Proteaceae family, known as the protea family, and is found within the Cape Provinces as part of its global distribution.
