Ceratosanthes palmata is a species in the Cucurbitaceae family, native to regions in South America and the Caribbean. It was first described in 1918 by the author Urb.

Description

Ceratosanthes palmata belongs to the genus Ceratosanthes and is distributed across several regions including Brazil (Northeast, South, and West-Central), Bolivia, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, Venezuela, the Venezuelan Antilles, Aruba, the Netherlands Antilles, the Windward Islands, and La Guajira. This species is part of the Cucurbitaceae family, commonly known as the gourd family. Its scientific name was formally published in 1918 by the botanist Urb.
