Cephalomanes atrovirens is a fern species in the family Hymenophyllaceae. It was described by C.Presl in 1843. The genus Cephalomanes is recognized in the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016, though some sources do not accept it. As of October 2019, Plants of the World Online reclassified the genus into a broader Trichomanes, with this species' subtaxa treated as separate species.

Description

Cephalomanes atrovirens is part of the Hymenophyllaceae family and was first published in 1843. Taxonomic treatments of the genus Cephalomanes vary, with the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group accepting it in their 2016 classification. However, other sources, such as Plants of the World Online as of October 2019, have merged the genus into a broader Trichomanes. Under this reclassification, the subtaxa of Cephalomanes atrovirens are recognized as distinct species, including Trichomanes acrosorum, Trichomanes atrovirens, Trichomanes boryanum, and Trichomanes kingii.
