Description
Muehlenbeckia platyclada, also referred to as centipede-plant, is a member of the knotweed family, Polygonaceae. It is indigenous to New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. However, it has become naturalized in several tropical areas such as Puerto Rico, India, Bolivia, Madagascar, Nicaragua, and Pakistan. The species was first published in 1865. It is known by alternative common names including tapeworm plant and ribbonbush.
