Cecropia telenitida is a species in the genus Cecropia, belonging to the family Urticaceae. It is native to several regions in Colombia, including Parque Nacional Natural Nevado del Huila, Charalá, Gambita, Tona, and other departments such as Antioquia, Boyacá, Caquetá, and others. It is also found in Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The species was first described in 1945 by Cuatrecasas.

Description

Cecropia telenitida is a plant species within the genus Cecropia, part of the Urticaceae family. Its distribution spans multiple regions in Colombia, including Parque Nacional Natural Nevado del Huila, as well as the cities of Charalá, Gambita, and Tona. It is present in the departments of Antioquia, Boyacá, Caquetá, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Cundinamarca, Huila, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Santander, and Tolima. The species is also reported in the Global, Jardín Botánico de Bogotá, and Bogotá, D.C. It extends beyond Colombia to Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The species was first published in 1945 by the botanist Cuatrecasas.
