Daphne caucasica is an evergreen shrub belonging to the Thymelaeaceae family. It is native to the Caucasus region and is known as the Caucasian daphne. This species is one of the parent plants of the hybrid Daphne × transatlantica, which is widely cultivated in gardens.

Daphne caucasica is a shrub in the Thymelaeaceae family, native to the North Caucasus and Transcaucasus regions. It is an evergreen species that contributes to the genetic lineage of the garden hybrid Daphne × transatlantica, which results from a cross with Daphne sericea. The species was first described in 1784 by Pall.
