Carpinus londoniana

Carpinus londoniana is a member of the Betulaceae family, a group of deciduous trees and shrubs. The species was formally described in 1904 by H.J.P. Winkl. It is found in a range of locations across Southeast Asia and southern China, including the island of Hainan. The species occurs in China South-Central, China Southeast, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. As part of the Carpinus genus, it is likely to share characteristics with other hornbeam species, such as simple leaves and catkin-like inflorescences.
