Kallstroemia pubescens, commonly known as Caribbean Caltrop, is a species in the Zygophyllaceae family. It is distributed across several regions including Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, Magdalena, and Sucre in Colombia, as well as in Aruba, Bangladesh, Benin, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Florida, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Leeward Is., Mexico Gulf, and other areas. The species was first described in 1955 by Dandy, revising the original name by G.Don.

Description

Kallstroemia pubescens is a member of the Zygophyllaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly found in arid and semi-arid regions. The species is native to a wide range of locations, including parts of South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and parts of Africa and Asia. It has been documented in various Colombian departments such as Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, Magdalena, and Sucre, as well as in Aruba, Bangladesh, Benin, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Florida, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Leeward Is., and the Mexico Gulf region. The species was formally described in 1955 by Dandy, who revised the earlier name proposed by G.Don.
