Cardiocrinum giganteum, known as the giant Himalayan lily, is the tallest lily species, reaching heights of up to 3.5 metres. It is native to the Himalayas, China, and Myanmar.

Description

Cardiocrinum giganteum (Wall.) Makino belongs to the Liliaceae family and is part of the genus Cardiocrinum. It is distributed across regions including Assam, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet, and West Himalaya. This species was first described in 1913. It is the tallest among lily species and is found in mountainous areas of the Himalayas and surrounding regions.
