Serruria effusa, known as Candelabra Spiderhead, is a flowering shrub native to the Western Cape region of South Africa. It is part of the fynbos vegetation and is found in the Olifants River Mountains and the Sederberg. This shrub reaches a height of 1.5 m and has a similar spread. It blooms between August and September.
Description
Serruria effusa is a member of the Proteaceae family and is endemic to the Cape Provinces. It is characterized by its upright growth habit and is known for its flowering display during late winter to early spring. The species was described in 1990 by Rourke and is part of the genus Serruria.
