Calendula tripterocarpa is a flowering plant in the genus Calendula, family Asteraceae. It is native to Spain, the Canary Islands, North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Asia as far as Iran. The species was first described in 1856 by Rupr.

Description

Calendula tripterocarpa is a therophyte, a type of plant that completes its life cycle within a single growing season. It is found in a range that includes Spain, the Canary Islands, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Western Sahara, Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria, and other regions. Its distribution also extends to parts of Central and South America, including CL, FR, Valparaíso Region, and BH. This species is adapted to arid and semi-arid environments typical of its native range.
