Calathea marantina is a species in the Marantaceae family, native to several countries in northern South America. It was first described by K.Koch in 1857.

Description

Calathea marantina belongs to the genus Calathea within the Marantaceae family. It is found in the Amazonas region, as well as in Bolivia, Brazil North, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The species was formally published by K.Koch in 1857.
