Euthamia leptocephala is a species of plant in the family Asteraceae, native to the south-central United States. It occurs in the lower Mississippi Valley and the Gulf of Mexico's Coastal Plain, ranging from Texas to west-central Georgia and as far north as southern Illinois.

Description

Euthamia leptocephala (Torr. & A.Gray) Greene ex Porter & Britton is a North American plant species within the Asteraceae family. Commonly known as bushy goldentop, it is indigenous to the south-central U.S., particularly in the lower Mississippi Valley and the Gulf Coastal Plain. Its geographic range extends from Texas to west-central Georgia and reaches as far north as southern Illinois. The species was first described in 1894.
