Flueggea leucopyrus is a shrub or tree species in the family Phyllanthaceae. It is commonly known as bushweed and is distributed globally across regions such as Bangladesh, China South-Central, Ethiopia, India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Socotra, Somalia, and Sri Lanka. It thrives in wet tropical biomes and is also referred to by other names including Indian snowberry, white honey shrub, and cool pot.

Description

Flueggea leucopyrus, described by Willd. in 1806, is a member of the Phyllanthaceae family. It is found in tropical regions and is known by several common names, including Indian snowberry and white honey shrub. The species is native to South and Southeast Asia, as well as parts of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is adapted to wet tropical environments and is sometimes called bushweed due to its shrub-like growth form.
