Phlox speciosa, known as showy phlox or bush phlox, is a species in the family Polemoniaceae. It is native to western North America, including British Columbia, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. The plant is typically found in sagebrush, pine woodlands, and mountain forests.

Description

Phlox speciosa is a member of the genus Phlox, within the family Polemoniaceae. It is commonly called showy phlox or bush phlox. This species is native to western North America, where it grows in habitats such as sagebrush, pine woodlands, and mountain forests. Its distribution spans from British Columbia to Arizona and New Mexico. The species was first described in 1813 by Frederick Pursh.
