Ambrosia salsola is a perennial shrub in the Asteraceae family, native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is commonly known as burrobrush and has alternative names including cheesebush, winged ragweed, white burrobrush, and desert pearl.

Ambrosia salsola is a member of the Asteraceae family and is found in the deserts of Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and parts of northwestern Mexico. This perennial shrub is adapted to arid environments and is known by several common names, including burrobrush, cheesebush, winged ragweed, white burrobrush, and desert pearl. The species was first described in 2002 and is part of the Ambrosia genus.
