Macrozamia communis, known as burrawong, is a cycad species native to the east coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Zamiaceae family and was first described by L.A.S. Johnson in 1959.

Description

Macrozamia communis is a member of the genus Macrozamia within the Zamiaceae family. The species is commonly referred to as burrawong, a name derived from the Daruk Aboriginal language. It is distributed across New South Wales and is one of several Macrozamia species that share the common name burrawong.
