The species was first described by Linnaeus in 1753.
Description
Cornus suecica is a member of the dogwood family, Cornaceae, and is commonly referred to as bunchberry. It is found in regions such as Greenland, Labrador, Newfoundland, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Quebec, and parts of Europe including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The plant is also present in Alaska, the Aleutian Islands, the Baltic States, and Central European Russia. It was first published in 1753 by Linnaeus.
