Buddleja diffusa is a flowering plant species in the family Scrophulariaceae, native to central Peru and northern Argentina. It grows on dry hillsides above rivers and creeks at elevations between 1000 and 1900 meters. The species was first described and named by Ruiz and Pavon in 1798.

Buddleja diffusa belongs to the genus Buddleja and is part of the Scrophulariaceae family. It is found in the regions of central Peru and northern Argentina, where it thrives on dry hillsides near water sources. The plant was originally described and scientifically named by Ruiz & Pav in 1798.
