Buddleja crispa
Buddleja crispa Benth.

Buddleja crispa, the Himalayan butterfly bush, is a deciduous shrub native to regions including Iran, Afghanistan, Bhutan, North India, Nepal, Pakistan, and China. It thrives in dry river beds, rocky slopes, exposed cliffs, and thickets at elevations between 1400 and 4300 meters. Described by Bentham in 1835, it was introduced to cultivation in 1850 and recognized for its ornamental value. It received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Merit in 1961 and ranked 8th in a 1997 public poll. However, its limited cold hardiness restricts its widespread cultivation.
Description

It is distributed across Afghanistan, China North-Central, China South-Central, East Himalaya, India, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, and West Himalaya.
