Buddleja coriacea is a species native to the high Andes, growing in Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador. It thrives on rocky soils at elevations between 3,000 and 4,350 meters, in conditions with strong winds and temperatures ranging from −3° to 15° C. The species was first described by J.Rémy in 1847.

Description

Buddleja coriacea is a variable plant species found in the high Andes, from the Cordillera Blanca in Peru to Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, and also in Ecuador. It is adapted to dry to semi-humid rocky soils at high elevations, typically between 3,000 and 4,350 meters. The climate in its habitat is characterized by strong and persistent winds, with temperatures ranging from −3° to 15° C. The species was first named and described by J.Rémy in 1847.
