Buddleja cordata is a plant species endemic to Mexico, where it grows along forest edges and water courses at elevations between 1500 and 3000 meters. It has also naturalized in parts of Ethiopia. The species was first described and named by Kunth in 1818.
Description
Buddleja cordata belongs to the genus Buddleja in the family Scrophulariaceae. It is native to several regions in Mexico, including Mexico Central, Mexico Gulf, Mexico Northeast, Mexico Northwest, Mexico Southeast, and Mexico Southwest. In addition to its native range, it has become naturalized in Ethiopia. The species was first published by Kunth in 1818. It is not found in El Salvador or Guatemala, despite these regions being listed in some sources.
