Description
Buddleja colvilei is a member of the Scrophulariaceae family and is found in regions including China South-Central, the East Himalaya, Nepal, and Tibet. Hooker, who discovered the species in 1849, praised it as 'the handsomest of all Himalayan shrubs.' The plant was formally published in 1855. In 1896, it received the RHS First Class Certificate, an award given to plants of exceptional exhibition quality.
