Micranthes odontoloma, known as brook saxifrage, is a flowering plant in the Saxifragaceae family. It is native to western North America, occurring in moist and rocky habitats across several U.S. states and Canadian provinces. This perennial herb forms a clump of leaves with rounded, toothed, or scalloped blades on long petioles. It produces a branching inflorescence on a slender, erect peduncle up to 0.5 meters tall, bearing multiple flowers with five teardrop-shaped white petals and stamens with narrow, flat filaments.

Description

Micranthes odontoloma is a member of the Saxifragaceae family and is commonly referred to as brook saxifrage. It is found in various moist and rocky habitats across western North America, including regions in Canada and the United States. The plant is a perennial herb characterized by a rosette of leaves with rounded, toothed, or scalloped blades supported by long, thin petioles. The inflorescence is a branching structure on a slender, upright peduncle that can reach up to 0.5 meters in height. Each flower has five white, teardrop-shaped petals with threadlike bases and stamens with flat, narrow filaments that may resemble additional petals.
