Bromelia laciniosa, known as macambira, is a member of the Bromeliaceae family. It is native to northeastern and southeastern Brazil as well as northeastern Argentina. This species was first described in 1830 by Mart. ex Schult. & Schult.f.

Description

Bromelia laciniosa is a plant species found in the bromeliad family, which includes the pineapple but not all members resemble it. It occurs naturally in parts of Brazil and Argentina and is also cultivated in other regions. The plant is part of the genus Bromelia and is recognized by its specific epithet laciniosa.
