Nama hispida is an annual flowering plant in the family Namaceae. It is native to the American desert southwest and throughout northern and central Mexico.

Description

Nama hispida, also known as bristly nama, sand bells, and rough nama, is a member of the Namaceae family. It is found in regions including Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and parts of Mexico such as Mexico Central, Mexico Gulf, Mexico Northeast, and Mexico Northwest. The species was first described in 1862 by A. Gray.
