Description

Asplenium viride is a fern species described by Huds. in 1762. It is commonly called Bright-Green Spleenwort due to the distinct green color of its stipes and rachides, which helps distinguish it from the similar maidenhair spleenwort (Asplenium trichomanes). The species is native to regions including Greenland, Labrador, Newfoundland, Alberta, British Columbia, and parts of Europe and North America. It is a member of the Aspleniaceae family and is part of the genus Asplenium.
