It is native to regions in Middle America and North America, including parts of the Southwestern United States and Sonora. The plant is also found in various national parks and protected areas across multiple countries.

Description

Cylindropuntia fulgida is a member of the Cactaceae family and is commonly referred to as boxing-glove cactus. It is primarily found in the Southwestern United States and Sonora. Its distribution extends to several national parks and regions across Middle America and North America, including Botswana, Hawaii, Arizona, and parts of Mexico. This species was first described in 1936 by F.M.Knuth, based on earlier work by Engelm.
